Clearstep is an invisible, easy to wear, comfortable, removable orthodontic system that is suitable for both children and adults. It is a fully private treatment and is not available on the NHS for anyone, regardless of age.
Clearstep treats :

- Crowding teeth that are too close together
- Spacing teeth that are too far apart
- Overbite teeth overlap too much vertically
- Overjet front teeth stick out
- Underbite lower teeth stick out/lower jaw too big
- Crossbite upper and lower teeth bite on the wrong side of each other
- Openbite your teeth do not meet when you bite
- Misplaced midline centre lines of upper and lower teeth do not align
How does Clearstep work?
Clearstep uses clear, polymer aligners to move teeth in small increments. Each aligner is designed to apply controlled force on the patient's teeth.
Clearstep Cases

How do I get treatment?
Arrange a consultation appointment with Gillian, a registered Clearstep practitioner. Impressions and photographs will be taken of your teeth. You will also be required to attend Falkirk Royal Infirmary to have a specific x-ray taken. ( an OPT radiograph that shows all of your teeth and jaws on one film) All of this information is sent to the Clearstep Treatment planning centre and a Clearstep Orthodontist will devise a treatment plan. A review appointment will be made to discuss your individual treatment plan and you will be given a copy of your report. Your Clearstep report will determine whether you are a mild, moderate or severe treatment case. This report is valid for 6months only.
If you decide you wish to proceed with treatment Gillian will instruct Clearstep to make your aligners.
How much does it cost?
Initial consultation costs £200. Should you proceed with treatment this will be credited towards your treatment cost.
Total treatment cost will depend on which jaws are being treated and the severity of your case. The following should be used as a guide only :
Mild upper or lower only £1800 Mild upper and lower £2800
(Approximately 8 months of treatment)
Moderate upper or lower only £2400 Moderate upper and lower £3500
(Approximately 12-16 months of treatment)
Severe cases are priced on application.
A non refundable deposit of 50% of treatment cost is required prior to commencing treatment and full payment must be received prior to the end of treatment.
A complimentary tooth whitening treatment is provided at the end of treatment on request.
